I know of 3... NASA Tom, Steve Herschbach and Andy Sabach.. now before I get railroaded.... experts meaning
Vast knowledge on metal detectors, are published and whom have respected opinions on technology.

So any others that publish material or info? I read all I can from these guys above and was looking for others.

Many testers are just that, testers who don't make things public and have no interest participating in social media. We're lucky just to have Dave Johnson, Carl Moreland, Eric Foster pop in a post now and then to clear up festering questions and false beliefs.

There are quite a few more. I like the variety of testers.... ranging from the technical to the layman's termed.

Usually you can pick out the huckster....they don't holler "rotten bananas".

I can't relate to Billy Mays. However he sold a lot of units for the companies that employed him. Sort of like Youtube. Having signed non disclosure agreements I stayed close to the vest. I prefer do do my own tests on my own dime and call it a day. In the future I plan to stop giving my opinions on different forums. I just want to get back to having fun. Good luck in your Quest. Let your field experience teach you by digging lots of holes.

I learned a lot back in the Day from reading H.Glenn Carson Coin Shooting Books I,II,and III.
I am sure some of today's Newbs would call Him an outdated Dinosaur, But to Me He was a legend.
Dick Stout also had a good Book called Coin hunting in depth. I learned more about Coin Shooting from these books than any YouTube videos.
To Me these Guys are experts to name a few.

thumbs downsmileys with beer
You can learn a lot from these three. At least with the info they provide you are not blindly buying a detector, you have become an educated consumer.
