I end up with two of them.. I don’t really like it for coin hunting but will keep one for nugget hunting..
Send me a PM if interested and I’ll sell you one for $100.00 shipped.. Used on one 3 hr. Hunt..

SOLD

So far it's the only pinpointer I've used that doesn't false in the red dirt. It might initially but once you balance it, the only sound you hear is when it's near metal. It and the TRX are my favorites but slightly in favor of the F pulse.

My biggest complaint is the holster for it doesn't seem to be made for it. It's like a 1 size fits all, that fits nothing. Mine has fallen out quite a few times and probably will quite a few more times. The holster is round. The pinpointer is not. It wants to ride high unless you really cram it down in there.

The other issue may be remedied by reading the manual (which I admit I have not). It is the loudness. I feel it is too loud. There may be a way to lower the volume on it or make it vibrate only...I just haven't had time to read all the manual. I skimmed through it but only vaguely remember seeing how to guides for changing sensitivity and LED adjustment.

This is what I'm looking for. A comparison against the TRX which I use and like. Thanks for your input.

Yes, if you like the TRX you will love the Fisher.. The Fisher performs a lot like the TRX only better..
I was not a fan of the TRX and same goes for the Fisher.. It’s just too slow for my liking and more directional dependent..
I’m going to keep one for nugget shooting because it is more sensitive to small gold then the Carrot and TRX..

I will have to say that the Fisher F-Pulse is the best built pinpointer I have ever used.. Very nice except for the holster like Daniel said..

So which pinpointer do you like? I did a mod on my old Garrett (that I lost sad smiley ) that removed the locking clip inside the power on switch which made for a very quick pinpointer. Just hold the button down while searching and take your thumb off when done, slap it in the holder..no leaving it on by accident and made for quick ground balancing. I loved that thing.

The Carrot has been very good to me but I did wear through the tip.. Still going strong though.
I’ve had none of the problems it seems some have had with it.. Hundreds of hours using it..
I have a Minelab Pro-Find 35 on the way to see how it does..
Probably end up with another Carrot when my original finally croaks.

And I'm guessing you mean responsiveness to targets when you say the TRX and Fisher are slow, which if that's the case, I agree about the TRX.. I find myself searching more than I did with my Garrett. Thanks for the input.

My only complaint is the slow turn on. Just like TRX was originally. You do have to stretch the holster to fit better. It's a round holster same as garrett but pin pointer is now. My leather buzz bomb shealth is slowly molding of the Tek-Point/F-Pulse.

Bryan,
I'll be curious how you like the Pro-Find. Sensitivity and "depth" appears very weak in the review videos I have seen.
Could be wrong. Let us know what you think.

So is the the turn on slow on the Fisher ? if so how slow compared to a Carrot ?

The F Pulse is PI and the Carrot is VLF

Are we now saying a PI Pointer is more sensitive to small gold than a VLF Pointer?

What I was saying is that the F-Pulse is more sensitive to tiny gold nuggets then my Carrot using air tests
I won’t know until this summer how it performs in the ground on an actual hunt..

it's 1-2 seconds. Carrot is .5 to 1 second. Black garrett 2 is about .25-.5 seconds. This is estimates on use. Not sure of specifics. The tek-point F-Pulse is TRX depth with Garrett 360 detection. So I can live with minor delay and holster shape. It's very night. far exceeded what I expected them to come out with. Great job, Carl.

In the leather trade, leather can be stretched a bit with a heat gun. Not too much heat, and keep the heat gun moving. then stuff the pinpointer in.
Just make sure the leather does not get hot. Warm is the key.

Its supposedly made of better more durable material than others. So far so good... no signs of excessive wear.
I previously wore through the plastic on an expensive and cheaply made Detector Pro Pistol Probe.

It does not interfere with my CZ3D but if it did its adjustable.

I can use it in wet salty sand without any issues.

It has very good depth in all of the soil conditions I hunt in including the beach.

It has precise and gradual proximity alert calibrated to its depth capabilities and alerts well on
surprise bonus targets on the side of the hole.

It never falses, I've not had to play hide n seek with targets.

It uses 2x AA and not 9 volt batteries. I use LADDA rechargeable Nimh batteries and it seems to last forever with them.

I have found small gold erring backers that other probes will not alert on. ( luck ? )

It is fully adjustable for any combination of vibrate / audio alert / light / sensitivity

I like the Fisher Angry Red color.

Craig, what did you do to speed up the tek points boot up?
I’d like to do it on my f pulse?
