DIME OF EDGE TEST WITH DIFFERENT MODELS.

I use the F75, XP DEUS, AT GOLD AND EQUINOX on a 5 1/2 inch silver dime on edge to see if they can hit a coin on edge.silver on edge

That was an interesting test. AT GOLD couldn't see it.... that's a shame..... I would not have thought that could happen.

O.k., how about a dime on edge next to a nice nail or screw ? nudge nudge

OR....maybe a small piece of gold chain without the tag or clasp ??? :-)

I'm shocked to see that the AT Gold failed at that test....miserably. Thanks for all your testing Calabash.

almost seems like something is wrong with the at gold, should hit the pretty easy from my experience with it. Especially in all metal mode mine was stupid deep.

Ha ha ha I never meant was anything wrong with ur atgold mechanically, I meant that as blind as it is to a dime on edge is just like something wrong with it. U may just have exposed a major weakness to the at series. Wonder if the pro or max will test the same?

Found my oldest US silver dime(1839 seated) at an old meeting area that had been pounded with every unit around....5 inches in a plug standing straight up..
Used a Tesoro Toltec 100 so lets not forget these old but good units...

I don't know but I would really like to try it. I have been getting that on the other forums when I show a machine not doing something they start hollering its broken so that was not directed at you personally it was a general responce to what ive been getting all over the other forums too. I don't have the AT Gold anymore. I used neg ground balance and it worked great with this detector. It didn't false on iron that I remember. The depth increased significantly. It was hitting my 9" dime easy.
with the 5"x8" coil.
