WHEN IF the Explorer was is as good as the NOX With the same weight, speed, waterproof, and price. Oh and don't forget the wireless headphones, I'll buy one.

Comparing a $650 machine (EQ600) with a $2500 machine (CTX) and saying it was every bit as good....priceless

Actually I've been seeing some nice small gold (not grain of rice small) being found with the EQ on salt water beaches, pretty impressive if that's your game.

Yup, it’s a give and take. The constant balance of metal detecting homeostasis. Deep, fast, sensitive, mineral impervious, EMI unsusceptible, light weight, wireless, easy to use, only finds good stuff, affordable, beach combing, park pickin, ghost town gettin, gold grabbin, silver slayin machine we can all afford is the only thing we’re askin for! Somebody PLEASE answer the call! In all seriousness, Minelab and XP keep pushing the limits. Can’t wait to see what’s around the corner.

Nice video! I have seen the same thing in the field. Me and my partner were cross checking targets and the Nox could see it and the Deus couldn't plain and simple. I got it on video too.

Yes. You guys are hurting my feelings. I can't help it if Cobra-Cal Brian has wimpy arm muscles that can't pick up anything over a few ounce machine. I enjoy the videos Dr. Tones. You edit and cut them very well. Looks professionally done.
I for one spend an hour editing my videos and they look like my 6 year old did it!

But being at this 14 months I have learned a lot from many videos of varing quality... I’m glad they exist because even though it goes unsaid...we do enjoy them and learn from them.

Bounty hunter....hmm...I'll have you know my first detector was a Fisher Coin$trike......that was a fun detector to figure out for a newbie

What type of audio signal and vdi reading do you get when going over coke with the Deus? I would think that it would be similar to a hot rock?

It mostly comes up in the foil range, but if it's deep in wet ground it can come up to mid range.
There's something that happens with the make-up of coke and the ground minerals combined, that makes it show at times as a good target, dig it out and put it on the surface, and it reads lower, dry it out and it reads lower again.

Thanks ghound! Coke does seems to be similar to hot rocks then in that it's mineral content is higher than the surrounding ground mineralization which would give a positive signal. In my area hot rocks can be a problem also but the ground notch feature on the Deus helps eliminate them while still hitting good targets close or mixed. Has anyone tried the ground notch to eliminate the coke across the pond?

If coke read closer to iron, or above big silver where you could easily disc it out it would be great, but it reads low to mid on the ID scale of most machines i've used, so it's near impossible to disc it all out, best i've found is to try disc it by audio/ID/ and how it responds when you 360 it.
I sold my Deus last year, and to be honest i never used the ground notch, so i can't remember exactly how it operates!
