Question on the Impact
May 17, 2016 08:55AM
Is it to be a multi freq as per etrac or selectable or both?
Ive been saving up my pennies to buy another detector to complement my R2 and would dearly love another multi freq machine.

One frequency at a time.

I wish it would be more then freq at a time but I don't think so. Lets just hope it does more then the deus does and does it better even though the deus is hard to beat. It will have some nice coils I would think!

I would think Tom D., Monte & Steve H. are included as they were with the R2. Seems to me Makro/Nokta has faith in them being straight shooters.

I think I'm going to hold off on buying a new machine until we find out what is cooking with the new Deus upgrade, MX Sport upgrade/performance issues and hopefully the CZX and MOSCA platform release.

$300.00 for the Impact? Man that Lira must have taken a dive!

Jack you're right, I thought he said XP Dues, BUT still considering that the Xterra needs frequency specific coils for each frequency it can do, and the Impact uses ONE coil for all three frequencies, it's still a much more cost effective, newer technology and innovative detector.

I for one am looking forward to seeing how it does when it comes out!

Very true on the coil issue and those Coil tek coils are expensive. I got the Gold Pak with the HF elliptical but went with the 7.5Khz 6" concentric and the10.5" DD for depth as add on coils. I may add the large concentric coil later to use in open areas because the DD coil is a heavy brute to swing for long periods.

It's too bad they didn't/couldn't have made a 11" DD Pro coil (like on the Etrac/Explorers) for the Xterras.----That right there sure would have made a lighter/better balanced combo for that unit.

I have the 705 and love it.. I also have the nel tornado coil and it weighs about same as 10.5" lineman coil. But center attachment makes it better balanced.. very deep detector and does surprisingly well in iron..
