6" in coil change and unit reset on 800

I will be ordering the 6" coil for my 800. On my AT Pro they recommended resetting the unit when changing from the AT Pro stock coil to the NEL Thunder.

Is there such a requirement to reset when changing from the 800 stock coil and 6" coil?

I hope not, since i have some custom settings in field2.

Shouldn't be.

That would be odd.... or common sense would say you would have to do it every time you swapped the coils.

I'd love to have a chance to see if a simple noise cancel would suffice. But where do I get the *@#&*@^% 6 inch coil??????

Here is a list of dealers. Don’t know how up to date it is.
But I’ll bet one of these can be called and a person might get a lead on a Nox 6”coil.
I am supposed to be getting allocation awarded Antiques detectors in Kansas.

got mine today from a small authorized minelab dealer. He had 3 and I got the last one he had this week. Will get in 2 days.

Bummer on the AT Pro for having to RESET when changing to a different coil. I don't recall EVER having to do that on any other detector I've owned.

One of my dealers said he's selling them at $170---but---he's got a waiting line of 14 people.

$299 is ctx 6" map.

I believe eq 6" is $179 MAP.

The initial suggested price was $179 if I remember right but then as it drew closer to reality I saw $229 somewhere. Getting a credible price from Minelab on anything beside new units for the Equinox is quite a feat.

Not difficult.
Just look around.

All of your links are for "out of stock or pre-order" coils that don't officially exist. I was hoping for a real price from someone that has paid and has one in the mail.
What was the cost of the one you are expecting?

Don’t know.
Transaction will be done tomorrow hopefully.
I have seen where some have paid $179 for theirs.

Just because the coils are listed as out of stock or preorder doesn’t mean the prices are unworthy.
The detectors themselves were in the same boat. But the prices were listed and seems some folks at least paid this price when they eventually got their detectors.
Granted some folks may have gotten better deals.
I know I did.

The links will show you what the MAP is of the coils. You can expect to pay the same if you buy online, and probably less if you just ask a dealer for the best price It depends on the dealer though. Some wont budge off of MAP and say they can't sell them for less, and some will be quite a bit lower than MAP, especially on detectors.

Thanks, guys. OK, I got my order in. It was not that long ago I called Bart and and some others and no one had a clue. Now at least I have a pre-order and am experiencing 800 deja vu.

Equinox 6" Coil is listed for $179.00. If you get free shipping or a dealer that sells it to you for a better price, good-on-ya. Like it was said above, somebody was likely looking at the CTX-3030 and price.
