Following the Confederate Button Trail and then...

An elderly Gentleman stops buy to inquire if I was finding any coins. He has lived in this area his whole life. He stated that his Great Great Grandmother mentioned in the family history that General Lee and his Army stayed the night on the family farm. This road was part of Lee's retreat route. First I find a Script I, them my partner finds a Georgia then I find three Virginia's. I asked him if the farm was nearby? He stated the old manor house was torn down and a newer structure built and oh by the way it's just up the road. Fingers crossed that the current owner will grant permission. Stay tuned.
