New Whites DFX video hot off the press

Whites DFX typical park hunt short hunt to try and eliminate the canine reference regarding my DFX. Pertinent settings are as follows: TARGET VOLUME 56, AUDIO THRESHOLD 15, TONE (audio freq) 200, AUDIO DISC ON, SILENT SEARCH OFF, MIXED MODE OFF, AC SENS 75, DC SENS 30, RATCHET PINPOINTING OFF, SAT SPEED 5, TONE ID ON, VCO ON MODULATION OFF, AUTOTRAC ON, TRAC VIEW OFF, AUTOTRAC SPEED 8, AUTOTRAC OFFSET 0, TRAC INHIBIT ON, DISC REJECT -95 to 0 and +94 +95, ACCEPT +1 to +93, RECOVERY SPEED 29, BOTTLE CAP REJECT 3, HOT ROCK REJECT 10, SWEEP SPEED 1, GROUND FILTERING 3, VISUAL DISC ON, ICONS ON, VDI SENS 75, DC PHASE ON, GRAPH AVERAGING ON, GRAPH ACCUMULATE ON, FADE RATE 3, PREAMP GAIN 3, 2 FREQ (best data) OFF, 2 FREQ (correlate) ON, VDI NORMALIZED ON. If you have trouble with EMI you can run it on 15KHZ alone, if that dosent help you have to drop the sensitivity. The DFX is absolutely NOT as deep as an Anfibio but it is no dog either, hopefully my video will show that.

Wow! That's the menu? Do you have to bring a cheat sheet with you to set it up?

Hey coinspader,
I see you have correlate set to ON in post above.
But I don’t see a span setting.
How does one set up span setting on DFX?
I have V3i experience but NO DFX experience.
Have skimmed Manual, looks like using correlate span is fixed as far as what is rejected VDI wise or accepted. V3i detector offers span setting for user’s choice of rejectionor detection.
Skimmed Manual prett fast I could have missed though.

I have not read.
I plan to.

perhaps one of these is worth a try ,IF you can "justify" all that diddlin'' and fiddlin'with a "rock bottom"price.seems like a 'giant" pain in da ass to me. to each their own.whatever works

I don't believe the DFX has that adjustment. Not positive though, I've only had it for about a month or so and I never had the manual. I have JimmySierra"s book and Jeff Foster's book.

I highly recommended Jeff’s book... lot of good info for anyone using a detector. The machine wasn’t as deep as the explorer but did excellent on the dry sand for gold.
