Well said Cal, I always recommend the same thing when it comes to tones. Pick one and stick with it. Everytime u switch is dang near like learning a new machine.

I heard a rumor the Deus can't hit coins on edge? Or one way only and not both ways like a CZ can? Any truth to that? How bout one of them test showing that it can Ole' Cal?

It can hit a silver dime at 5 inches on edge in my soil both ways. Seemed like if I remember correctly it tested better on it than the CZ3D..

No the ORX is 3 tones but has the changeable recovery speed setting.

So an all four way hit in other words You hit it and turn 90 degrees and swing over it and hit it again?

The HF coils do very well on picking up on edge coins with the Deus, most of the left over coins picked up on my more worked over sites were on edge and were initially missed by the LF coils.

That's why it does so well on thin section coins like those commonly found in Europe (hammered etc).

I thought so but nobody mentions it as it's the latest greatest that cost a fortune. A CZ-3D might be old tech. But it will give a good 4 way hit on a coin on edge.

Someone posted a video just the other day, a comparison between the two. The difference
was obvious.
Glad I went with the Deus!
