Gave it up a long time ago because of the weight. A fine detector for my hunting needs, but oh the pain.

I put it away...... and even tried selling mine with two coils when the Nox came out. resale price ..... no one seems to want one if its not as low as the Nox. To much drag in the water and to heavy out of the for me to beach hunt with.

I kept mine as a back up to my EQX, but it has some first-pick situations like when I need the built in GPS in farm fields.

I am new to the CTX. I have signed up for Andy Sabisch's class on FBS this summer.

I still have mine. Weight of it has never been a problem for me even with the 12 in coil. The balance is so good on it. I tested it and the Nox head to head and decided to keep it. The ID was so much better. Now if I lived near a beach maybe a different story.

I still use the CTX in trashy modern parks hunting jewelry and whatever including clad amongst the modern trash. It's just flat better than the Nox there. I have hunted countless times with individuals using the Nox and have bested them always , especially in the nickel department usually 3 to 1.They are too hung up on that 13 thing to accept the fact that that lots of nickels and good low conductors read at different numbers and the Nox tones just don't thumbs upcarry the show. It's interesting that the fellow I sold my Nox to does very well in the same venues but he chooses to use a V3i.thumbs down

I still have mine, with no plans to get rid of it. Like silverfiend said, mine is a "backup" to my Equinox, but it does "first line" duty, at times, at some sites.

"S'funny but, I was going to ask that same Q. a while ago?

I'm not and don't wish to go back to one - Sold a few of them since 2014, some water used others pristine for roughly USD$ 1345.00 w/o Warranty.

Thinking a Non Water used machine should sell for $1,100 - $1,200 with Warranty.

That 'damn' Nox has really upset 'the apple cart!"

expensive detector who's performance MAY have been compromised by the equinox, thus creating difficult to sell environment!

I have the Nox, e-Trac, and CTX 3030. The Nox is totally out classed by the e-Trac and CTX 3030 by a long shot when it comes to finding old silver coins at trashy parks. I'm keeping the Nox for beach, water hunting and for sites that are loaded up with a bunch of nails. Then again, my Deus will beat out the Nox when it comes to hunting in a bed of nails.
