Nope.
If EMI is too much in my chosen gold field (power lines) I switch to a DD coil (8" Detech). Much better EMI mitigation. I understand that he is talking EMI affecting the control box but switching from a mono coil to DD helps immensely. Being a very experienced GPX user, I tend to run it on the jagged edge anyway...which is a bit noisey. That being said, a metallic target still jumps out at you....even the little .2 gram nuggets.
