Possibly a day the detectors won't be switched on?

Enjoy the Holiday and swing a spatula instead of a detector as you flip those burgers and use your free hand to 'twist off' that beer bottle top... but don't forget to dispose properly!!!

Today has the best fireworks of the year! Not like the ones you get when you step out of line mentioning politics or religion...

Freedom!! (Mel Gibson will live in my head forever)

Happy Birthday, Uncle Sam!

Thanks, it was a nice 4th. We entertained family and kept everything light. The food was great as usual. The fireworks make my dog bark with every boom, he does the same with thunder. My wife threatens him with her sandal and will occasionally toss it in his direction which snaps him out of it.

Like Pastom says 'politics and religion' can be high energy subjects....But on days like the 4th it does make one think about the country. When you look at what the lib's are running on, you have to say to yourself 'what the hell are they thinking'. It's so obvious.... they will do and say anything for votes to get into power and not give a damn about how it will throw the country into another tailspin, or worse....Some say it's intentional.

Don't try to reason with a liberal, impossible, just ask them a couple questions.......
By the way, how's the economy? How are your investments doing? They'll say "that's from the last administration, things work slowly". I say "false". Then ask them 'how fast do stock prices change when some news or event takes place'? 'Almost overnight'.

I don't have close family that are liberals but I do have them that won't pick a side because they believe there's corruption in all politics....can't argue that. The thing is, again, the dems are running on nonsense and I think that's a bad excuse for not voting or learning what's going on. It's work staying up with the news and I think they are too busy to care about what's happening in the world other than their own little space which is family, work, and the American Dream. What they don't get is if we get the wrong people in power, all that could be for naught.
