Not an attack here Des however -

No other manufacturer has offered so much for so little. You can bet your house on the fact
that if a US company had released this you would not see change out of a grand - I would be as bold
to say that this is EXCEPTIONAL at the price

Out of ALL the Nokta Makro units that have been released to the public in quick succession over the last
few years, how many have been dogs? In fact, how many have had bigger problems compared to the hyped up
MXS?

As for your stance on the Simplex, it's understandable - It's an entry level unit and YOU good sir, are not

Again, I am simply amazed at how far and how fast Nokta Makro have come - This is the first of their INTRODUCTORY
line of metal detectors so there is NO SURPRISE you legends out there don't like it - It was NOT designed with you in mind.

All the other ones were - Plenty there to choose from so don't get hung up on the one NOT designed as a flagship

These will simply kick Garrett to the curb, which is marketing perfection -

No, I'm a professional tester and seasoned veteran detectorist - detecting is my hobby - so YES, I will be buying one. I've always been a "hobbyist" and was lucky to get paid to detect!
Both categories fall under the one umbrella. So I am interested to see what can be bought for $254 and how it will perform. I'll pit it agains the likes of other low, medium and high end detectors.
And if it performs beyond the scope of A, B or C, I'll be the first to say so.

And just a teeny 'semantic' niggle, when you Quoted me, I didn't use the word, "point"
That word (in my mind) changed the entire statement. A price is a price = fixed. A price point can be variable.

Thank you - No disrespect intended

According to the specs, it is already better than A, C, E, or which
ever make/model you wish to compare it with @ the same Price Point -

The SimplEX has them already slammed in features & no doubt
with it coming from Nokta Makro, depth and sensitivity as well as
recovery speed, should not be a problem either -

Here are just some current units ranging from around $250 - $300usd
and I for the life of me cannot seem to find one that comes even close to
the features you get with the SimplEX - Now there is absolutely NOTHING
wrong with any of them, however, unless the performance of the SimplEx
is lackluster then I am sure it will end up being the world's #1 seller -
