Mx5 tone glitch

Does anyone know if whites ever got this resolved? Im not talking about the pinpoint bug; Im reffering to the problem of hitting a target with one tone, then the unit responds on the next target (which may be a higher tone) w/the same or a blended tone.

I picked one up for practically nothing, and really like it as loaner for the wife/family...However its started up over the weekend w/this tone issue. Keith has a video showing it, and mentioned it was the 4th or 5th one he had that did it? So not sure if it ever got resolved, where as the PP thing did.
