That happens quite a bit in my area, when the day starts to show no finds I start digging up old iron. Square nails and iron relics are fun to find, especially when pickings are slim.

Ha! Reminds me when I use to small game hunt......get nothing, lookout tweety birds.

My attitude has changed over the years. I don't kill anything except flies, mosquitoes and things that happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Went back again the other day. Dug a dozen assorted bullets and a few flat buttons. Ive hunted this spot for over a year now using the same machine. I thought only a new detector could turn an old site new again. Oh well, maybe the moon wasn’t in the right position.

Funny how that works, we think a machine cleans a site out and it's not always true (although I've been to plenty of sites that were cleaned out!).
