In the 2-nails/Barber dime test........... removing the dime.,.,.,.than reinstalling the dime.... REALLY hits home. (Proof-pudding).

Please do the same nail & dime test comparing the Deus 1 and Deus 2.

id like to see the same test but with iron bias at zero on nox. i read on facebook xp page that factory programs on deus 2 have zerom iron bias\rejection settings.

Iron bias on EQX was set to FE 0. A setting of Iron bias to F2= 0 may have helped. But I don't this F2 at zero would have gotten what deus 2 was getting. Not even close. That coil height, very opening with Deus 2 !!!

Yeah some thing under the hood alright with deus 2. Don't think it's smoke and mirrors either.

Thanks TN for posting. Just from what I see in the videos I wouldn't sell my deus to buy a deus 2,,no advantages I see for a field hunter. Only advantage I see really is the waterproof Aspect over the original Deus.
I think the Deus is the best relic machine you could buy,hands down.. But imo that's where it ends,for parks,yards and selective digging there's definitely better machines, equinox by a mile.. This test couldn't be any more useless tho in my opinion.

I have lot of deus 1 experience. Have done a lot of tests with deus 1.
Deus 2 is on a whole other planet. Not even close.

Calabash,
If you read here.
Try this.
Sheet of tin foil over quarter.
Try beach mode or dive mode.
Adjust salt setting.
See if quarter can beta detected. And what ID is yielded.
This test might tell us some thing.
Also, see if real small foil is not detected or dodgy signal is given when swept with certain salt level settings.

That's a nice test of "separation" . But what about a test of "averaging" ? I Would like to see the rusty nails placed OVER the dime. To see if it can mimic what the old 77b could do. And what some Tesoro 2-filter machines do.

On the nail test he used Field2. Why? He didn't say I went thru all the programs and Field2 hits it best so I'm using Field2. His own preferred program for relic hunting is Park2 with some setting changes which by the way is my go to program for any place there is iron. Anyway you would have thought if was a fair test he would have used multiple programs.

I think he did mention he had went through the programme's off camera and there was no difference.

I'm impressed how good the Deus II is compared to the Nox, but how would it compare to the original Deus? I know the ORX won't pass that test.
