Love the portability of these new machines. That could be a HUGE selling point for many when it comes to prospecting.
Curious to see how she operates.

Hmmm I'll probably have to have one of those. Unless it's ridiculously priced.

I was a big ATX fan for fresh water and park hunting, loved the smooth stability with DD coil but hated constantly using iron check feature to check conductivity (ferrous or non-ferrous).

Spoiled with the GPX 5000 DD ferrous feature for relic hunting, no need to constantly check target was discriminated automatically.

This new Garrett Axiom looks great, I'm tempted to get one but the audio discrimination stops me. Discrimination is there, but not simplified to my needs. If I was a gold nugget hunter or ocean wet sand hunter I'd get a Axiom in a heartbeat, don't need discrimination in these two areas.

Been a while since I've posted, just to let you know retired three months ago. Just before retirng, elderly parent had a stroke and now I'm a 24/7 care provider for my mother. Hopefully, Can out to hunt maybe in distance future.

The only two forums I do visit are Tom's and occasionally Steve H. Good video by the way Steve with the Axiom, and Tom Dankowski glad to see you're still keeping the forum going.

Sorry to hear about your very own Mother. I just lost my Mom about 8-weeks ago. Even though everything in life is temporary.......up to....and including LIFE itself. , . , . , . , . , it is still difficult to watch your Mom deteriorate/degrade and decelerate.
Forum still going; yet, SLOW!!!
STAY BUSY in your retired years!!!

Hope they have fixed the coil wire deteriorating problem--Garrett was aware of this problem with the ATX,but did Nothing about it for years.Wish them luck.

Tom, Sorry to hear the recent lost of your mother. Can only imagine what you're going through and how painful it must be. Thank you for sharing those words of wisdom, will keep them dearly close as I care for mom and relish every moment with her.

Now that I'm home often, will stop by and visit.

Sounds good Paul and I hope your mother is doing better. Care giver is a tuff job. I was the sole care giver to Rose. She had cancer surgery almost 2 years ago and then the treatments. All of that lasted almost 2 years and then she had an Aortic valve surgery and another 5 month recovery. She is tuff and doing well now.

Glad to hear Rose is doing much better, Rose definitely is a trooper last time I seen her she was still working.
