Silver ?

Found this at a beach yesterday, not .925 hallmarked but the 999 has got me to thinking it might be legit, though would be kinda odd to be stamped 999.
Obviously not worth much either way, just trying to decide if I throw it in the keepers box or junk box

Yeah I was thinking that too, especially in Europe.
But Keiths post seems to explain it, or splain it ! Just a piece of cheap bling that by chance has a 999 connection to some rapper, but not as a measure of metallic purity.
