Gold is now "more regularly" punching through $2K......and MUCH more often.
Guess what THAT means!

((( Remember............ gold has always been about the same 'value'. It is its SURROUNDINGS that have changed. )))

I've been playing the lottery for over 7 years and have yet to hit $100. LOL

Tom D., What are typical changes of "surroundings" when the price of gold spikes into the 2k range and are they good, bad, or possibly both?
Re: Gold "going through the roof"?

You have people getting paid $20/hour to flip burgers , do you think that is good or bad? People like to talk about inflation nonsense in terms of products which is really only an obvious portion of underlying "surroundings". When you have wage inflation it is in a whole different level of seriousness.

Shoveler, I got the first sentence of your reply read and the picture started taking shape quickly.
Re: Gold "going through the roof"?

mrb........ It's artificial/controlled inflation.

For the most-part......... gold has not changed.
Example:
Today: 10-Oz of gold will buy you a car.
100 Years ago: 10-Oz of gold will buy you a car.
200 Years ago: 10-Oz of gold will buy you a car. (Horse & Buggy)
1000 Years ago: 10-Oz of gold will buy you a car. (Horse & Carriage).
Etc......etc.......etc..........

This is to say: The Dollar (foreign or domestic)...... is what fluctuates. . . . . . . . . . . . . . and most always.....based///referenced off of gold. (((Hence: Gold Standard))).

Does this make any sense? (Sometimes my explanations are cloudy!)!!!

Tom D, it absolutely does make sense, and makes me wish I got paid in Gold every week instead of a paper check.

And this topic should be in the forefront of humanity.......the survival thereof................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and (history repeating itself)........in epic magnitude. It is of grave concern. (Due to partially hidden ---far-reaching--- MULTIPLE implications).

Are you guys seeing what's happening now?.....with the price of gold?
It is TOO comfortable (at/above) the $2K mark.

It is a inflation index.
It will DEVALUE the dollar.
It EXPRESSES the devaluation of the dollar.
It is more than a shake-up/wake-up call.

Never forget your 4G's:

Since 2001, gold and silver have gone up about 6.5x
And the dollar has lost how much value since then?
The metals are " dollar insurance."

Since 2001 the dollar has SMASHED every major global currency!

The dollars relationship to other currencies always goes back to that leper with the most fingers analogy. The difference now is that others are beginning to realize that the disease is contagious and the simplest solution is to avoid the leper in the first place. When that begins to happen , gold's relation to the new preferred currency will be what really matters but if you have none , you will have nothing.

If it ever comes down to precious metals or nothing the poop will have flown through the fan long before that. The collapse of the economy including food supplies, utilities, fuel, and of course any type of production. Saving precious metals for a top dollar investment is a great decision. Saving precious metals for an end of the world's economy is not.

Saving precious metals so as to possibly be able to function "outside of" a "controlled economy" where CBDC/digital (trackable) currency has replaced physical currency, MAY also be worth considering...

Have you noticed the price of constititional ( junk silver)? Dimes almost $4 ea, quarters $8 ea.
5 quarters contain about an oz of silver, $40 per oz. One oz bars are selling for $32.50 oz, paper spot silver $25. Junk silver supply is tight.

You only get 90% spot melt on silver.

Only if you're lazy. Silver in any recognizable form will bring a 25% premium in any open market. If you want to go to a retail store or refiner and sell it then you are setting yourself up to get screwed.

I agree some people have a nack for turning a buck for the silver they find. I’m one of the lazy ones who don’t spend hours tumbling pennies or putting silver on the net. But on some gold pieces I will otherwise it’s off to the refinery. Like most pirates thou I’ve have a box or two of my own “precious”.

But if, God forbid, the poop does hit the fan and the banking system along with the dollar collapses there will still be a need for a valid currency. History points to that currency being gold and silver.
