I remember about 2-Decades ago........... I believe it was around 2006.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., I was actively (heavily) experimenting with a Tek T2 (possibly Proto)........... in thick carpets of iron. Almost all nails/iron would ID in (about) the middle of the Iron ID range/bandwidth. BUT......... if there was a non-ferrous target in close locate (co-locate) to a piece of iron (usually a nail)........ the ID was still in the Iron ID range; yet, . . . . on the HIGH end of the iron ID range.,.,.,.,.,.,., almost (but not quite) into the non-ferrous range. I had a blast recovering (unmasking) non-ferrous targets. It was tedious/cumbersome; yet, "do'able".
Today.............. with more advanced/better technology; you can actually employ a 'Notch' into (say: a D2)...... and capture a formidable amount of this. (((The next level (small baby-step) will be: A factory Preset that will help folks capture this performance))).

When I found this first this came to my mind is ho you use to tell folks how to run 1St gen F75 (non DST) units in iron.
BTW your name gets mentioned quite often in some of my videos. For good reason.
