Steve........... for the past 3-weeks...... I have been trying to destroy your lower (extended length) tall-man's rod...... in the ocean. Hydrodynamic drag can genuinely 'load down' all of the components on the business-end of the Manticore (or any detector). I do not feel that I have encroached 10% of its handling/load-bearing capabilities. Rock solid.

That's good to know; thanks for the additional information. I really try to build my shafts to be "heavy-duty," so as to be able to handle whatever gets thrown at them. I am really glad to hear that it is performing well for you, in tough conditions.
