Question on the AU21X for Tom

Are the only CZ's that can be converted to an AU21X the 1021 CZ3D's ? What about a FT CZ3D that is close to spec ( ie, air tests to the optimal measurement on a dime within an inch ) ?

I would think only the 3D's can be the ones converted due to having a separate foil tone ( ie 4 tones) as opposed to a CZ5 or CZ6a ?

It is more labor-intense to convert a CZ-5/6a to Au-21X status. Any CZ-3D can be converted more readily; yet, I truly prefer the 1021's....... and the good 1121's.

Thanks Tom....I will be on the look out for a 1021 or 1121 3D. Been using a lot of different detectors, but I think after 20 years of using CZ's my ears are just tuned to them and I always end up finding better stuff with them.
