Ah haaaaa... Tom is intrigued.

Aaron, I do not own one, nor am I a Deus dealer... just an impressed and interested observer who is looking to weed out the bla and study the good points and see if it has merit. Will I own one? Maybe. Not running out and jumping on the bandwagon just yet. The unit has the potential to be an outstanding detector.

Wow this seems too good to be true..Tom should have someone lend him one to try and it would be worth for Big Boys to do that I think I will drop him a email and see what he thinks...

If this were ever the intent............ I would keep it all above-board......... and report "receipt-to-conclusive test results" on this public forum.

Very interesting detector. Aside from the recovery speed, it offers some other benefits. If you want to hunt in the rain, just put the control pod in your pocket or a ziplock bag.
You can also control the unit from your headphones. I really appreciate when a mfg. puts a lot of thought into there product.
There are currently two american dealers, so that should help if your concerned about the service aspect. I haven't heard of any major problems with the detector yet, and it's been out for about two years.

Fun to watch!!

Unexpected surprise from Z Fwench. Wonder what else they have up their sleeves.

I'm curious if you can hunt in shallow water w it?
After all....if the control box is wireless and removable stands to reason you could take the whole pole under water. Put the box in a ziplock or mount it on your chest. I asked the same question on the Deus forum and some guy said you need a clip on antennae because it cannot transmit in the water.
That doesn't said quite right to me.

If the coil is 'wireless' ...... I doubt it would transmit to the main unit whilst under water.

Another thing is....
The coil is charged w a clip that fits onto some little brass pins. Makes me wonder what effect salt would have on it even if you washed it really good???

It does not transmit to the main unit or headphone unit ( there is actually two fully working recieve units ) while under water.

There is a need for a antenna that has the tip above water if You want that to work.

But again my first paragraph.

If You buy one additional coil you have two detectors cause both the main unit and the headphones work with the coil independant of eachothers if you want.

Even though we are still on a 2D plane..... it is a quite impressive video.

I am just guessing, but if the shaft was being used as an antenna, then it would transmit under water as long and the shaft was above, ie... shallow water hunting........

The antenna will most likely be a quarter-wave, so 30mm / 1.2 inches long, and inside the coil housing. Water absorbs 2.4GHz signal very effectively, hence why no underwater operation.
