Looks like the back of the new Minelab pops off

Maybe to access the headphone plug??? I does make it look uglier with it off IMHO. Or maybe just to get the battery out?

Yes they have it labeled headphone module in some pictures. The box that the headphones plug into is not waterproof. This box is also the external speaker. So I do believe that you will need to take the back off to hook up a pair of waterproof headphones to hit the water with. So another 100.00 for the headphones?

Based on Minelabs high opinion of their past products, I doubt you'll get waterproof headphones for a price anywhere near $100.

Minelab accessories.....can we say...... MEGA MARK-UP!!! Their battery packs/chargers are obscenely priced

Well there goes my big battery theory....

It looks like it could just be about right to hold 8 AA's now..or 10 cell recyclable's..

But ?
