Looks like on the Minelab 3030 forum they found a use for the DEUS

I saw that and thought it was pretty funny. I like the Deus but still, that is humorous.

Now the guys on the Deus board can put the CTX on a desk as a paperweight ;-)

Stuff like this is what spoils the hobby. Grown men that never really grow up. The scary part is that the percentage of immature detectorists is higher than I want to assign a number to here.

Spoils the hobby? You mean a hobby based on playing in the dirt....most people grew out of that after grammar school. Detectorists did not. I appreciate people that can have fun and don't live life with a corncob stuck up their rear.

On the surface the pic is funny. My concern is the mean, abusive and petty behavior that frequently goes hand in hand with this brand of 'humour'. That's my 'pulpit' moment

I have no trouble with that, I see fun in most stupid things. Im a mr bean and mel brooks type of guy.

Might even wear a orange coat and play some weedeater sounds on an ipod to go with it...could open up some places to detect. haha..

btw, here is a guy that has alot of problems with his deus... and he is a great guy modifying things..

As for the ugly mods the other guy made.....too much time on his hands... with all the extra weight he has added on, he should re name it E trac...LOL

Terra - if people take it too far or with hate, but I don't think it will go there.

After ML tore into it, that's about all it's good for.
Pic was funny, it's actually a compliment, in a way.

My question is, did any one find anything with a CTX3030 yet ? I know I saw some nice finds from Deus users.

I think a Deus user posting a pic struggling to bench press a CTX would be a good retort.

I am one of those giving up the Explorer due to a frozen shoulder and i had to modify it.

I would hate even more to be a Deus user cause i couldnt bench press 5 pounds.

they are so worried about the Deus they have to diss the top notch machine ,but they wont be laughing when the 3030 doesnt move off the shelfs and gathers dust on its pig ugly moosh!

Deus owners reply that the new ML machine is so pig ugly its been refused a space in the chamber of horrors !

No doubt, XP build very very good machines. So do Minelab. Both has very strong points and not so strong points.

I am just glad Minelab didnt copy deus like it seems nearly all others wanted. It is that wich is reflected in the negative comments.

I like the different approuch, it gives me new ideas and new different thinking about detecting and find possibilities.

Now thats funny.

This deus user thinks it's pretty funny! I don't get worked up over that stuff.... I believe everyone should turn their deus into a TP/towel holder ;-)
