Do you folks think the 10.5 in. coil would be a good idea for this unit ? Pros and cons. It would cost about 103$ I believe.

Absolutely....... but in 'less trashy' areas. It'll provide approx 1" - 1.5" greater depth abilities on dime/penny sized objects.
