CZ3D's up to spec's are getting awful tough to come up with and heres your chance to get one..Deal in a fine gentleman like Sonny and a no brainer to consider if you are looking for one..

Have to agree with you Aaron as far new units your guess is as good as mine..Would like to see a combo of CZ and F units but honestly think the new Fisher is F series orientated....but been wrong before so let the chips fall where they may...

Mike Hillis questions interests me....I usually ground balance spot on for the area I am working with but over the years have heard of experiments negative or positive settings..
What gives Mr. Hillis...inquiring minds would like to know...some hobby after twenty years plus and still learning????

I just ask that question because that is where the CZ series balance to in my dirt. somewheres between 2 and 3, usually around 2.5 or 2.75 but someplaces closer to 2. The 11+ air depth tests are obtained with the ground balance set at 10. Just curious what his air test would be if the ground balance was set closer to a true ground balance for my dirt.

If that's the case, then my cz should air test deeper than 12-1/4" when set at gb 5 which it does,.....never tried it at gb of 10.

Does it make any difference in air?

Good question Mike....now to add to the confusion it was explained to me by a Fisher Tech in the 90's when new to a CZ where it lands has no bearing number wise good or bad mineralization. Not a big fan of air tests myself and usually check units in my planted coin garden(buried 20 years)....truthfully thought it should be set at 5...
Hope Tom chimes in on this one as beyond me.
I always Bob in groundbalancing and balance spot on....and never worry about the number but change spots and number changes???

My CZ always grounds, every time, anywhere in Michigan between 4-5, never lower or higher
