There is several coils available for this detector.----What's the best coil to use on this machine for coin hunting in mineralized ground? (depth & seperation)

You be surprised at what the 3kHz Concentric can do in minerals for coin's..The low freq run's well in concentric fashion in bad dirt...

there's also a just released 3kHz 6" DD from coiltek.....it's an authorized aftermarket coil by minelab....

I would like to play with a 6" 3kHz DD in a iron site just to see if it would hit some deep coin's...

the HF DD's do well on coins also when working iron....I am partial to the elliptical coil Just from the things I have actually dug with it in iron at decent depth compared to the 6" HF DD round...

if you are working a more open area the 10.5" 7.5kHz coil is really, really deep on high coin's...it will get on down there...

Thanks Keith, good info.------That Coiltek 6" 3 khz DD may well be "killer" in trashy sites hunting for high conductors.--------Del
