Need help with Omega 8000

Hi guys. I am new here and I need some help guys. I am interested in Omega 8000 I've heard many positive things about it and I am going to buy one however, I've read that there is two versions the oldest one and the newest one.Some people said that the oldest versions have issue with EMI.My question is how to identify the new versions from the oldest one. I will appreciate any advice.

Not sure on how to really tell for certain..But I do know that my 3 version and the newer 4 version seems to be the quitest..

hold pinpoint down when turning on.And a number will flash up for a minute before going into the pinpoint depth mode..

The factory has been involved in an ongoing research to try and combat it...

I did a post on it here a couple of weeks ago showing the progression of this...

If a dealer has new one's in stock and sells alot of them you should be fine..

Give Fisher/Tech a call and imagine ser #'s should be able to tell you the old from the new...would certainly be my first thought rather than buy new old stock...

My Omega is version 4 and it has EMI problems. Is version 4 the newest?
