IMHO one of the greatest detectors ever made. But outdated for today.

I don't know Steve, that detector looks brand new and for a new condition collectable model (that works), that is worth holding onto imo. (But I am not a collector...)

in case anyone IS a collector and wants one so new that you'd have to travlel back in time to 1977 to buy one ;-)
(that AND because I thought I remember someone saying they were wishing they still had one).

That might be the best conditioned detector of it's kind on the planet. Realistically, I could imagine a collector offering A LOT more for it than the current price (if it indeed is a classic - I'm no expert here).

Steve, I was kidding, my wife teaches computers in Elemantry school, she taught me how to find anything on the net, we have contest in the house, I have a Cruz, she has a Ipad, and my daughter uses her phone and we see who can find the info first

Compass units bring high prices because of the demand created by the Compass Forum. The Compass especially certain units have reached beyond cult status.

I wouldn't owning one since I always bypassed the Compass brand for others during the 70's and 80's. For the prices folks now pay for some Compass is what they sold for
back then at manufactured suggested retail. Some even more. For that price I'll go buy a newer machine.
