If it's anything like the 5x10 coiltek for the E-Trac they can keep it and I won't be wasting my $$

that was the biggest rip-off/joke of a coil ever made for the E-Trac and a very costly mistake on my part

and they want $400+ for the CTX version!?

I'll wait til many others buy/try and report "outstanding" results on multiple levels before I jump on that bandwagon!!

Play it safe and stick w the factory coils.

I've learned the hard way too, except for the SunRay coils.

$364.99 for that coil--that's a lot of moola!!----Especially when I already have the CTX stock, 17" & 6" coils.----Who wants to be the first "guinea pig"??

I'm seeing $410.
Yeah I don't get it. I guess since it's elliptical, they're marketing it as being better in trash with the depth of the stock 10" coil.
No way I'd spend that on a coil.

Interesting...

the 4.5x7 is the one I would like to see..

the way the CTX is designed a tight DD coil could really push it's limit's to a new level...

Very much agreed Keith

the EQ Excelerator DD coils are outstanding --

if they made a 4.5x7 for the CTX (as they do for the E-Trac) it'd be permanently mounted to my machine unless I needed the extreme depth/coverage of the 17"

Very expensive for a third party coil. It needs to do something that the stock coil can not do. I picked through some heavy iron with the stock coil. I went back over it with the 6" coil and found nothing else. I have the 6 inch and 17 inch coils. The 17 inch I have just for beach coverage. But if I was to add the price of all three coils I could have gotten another detector. Big Boys is taking Pre Orders though. Bart is a great dealer. I read posts where some are going to sell the 6 inch to help with the costs of this coil. I think I'll stick with the six inch.

That 6" coil for the CTX turns it into a great iron machine, and come to think it, I think I'm going to take it out first thing after work today : )

At this point my results have been the same with the 6" and 11" coil. The only problem i have is somtimes pinpointing the good from the bad once located. I have to spen a lot of time and i still miss at times.
I likeothers would really lik to see a good 8" coil and i would not need any other.

Hard to cover alot of ground w a 8" Pacman, especially if your talkin about beaches and fields.

That's the only need Id have for a bigger than stock coil.

I really can't see the stock coil doing well in carpet iron like the 6" as I've experienced myself.
