Yes the detector market is very ripe it seems. I would love to go to one of the facilities where they engineer/ test. I wonder i.e. if I visited the Mackro/Nokta facility, would I maybe see a deus, F75, etrac White's, etc sitting around somewhere. White's had better get it into gear, drop the tin can look, lighten up their machines, and get some blending audio. Minelab I figure will be releasing a lighter machine with maybe a screen that's easier to than the CTX. The nautilus should be picked up by White's, it would be a good move IMO. Garrett is doing well with the AT Pro. They need a new flagship. Fisher, I dunno. Never really understood the F-19, especially with the upgrade to the F75s. I think Fisher would have maybe been better served had they upgraded the F70 and never developed the F19 and released it. And put their eggs in one basket and developed a new detector that had external upgrade capabilities. This will be the norm I feel on flagship machines sooner rather than later.

Shooter with what we've seen going on recently with Nokta I believe many manufactures are going to have to step up. From minor things to major.

Dilek:
You don't realize it but you may be starting a trend- a good one at that. I wish all detector manufacturers would maybe have a representative to shed light on future releases and also communicate with the detecting public. Good move on your part. I'm hoping we will see more step up to the plate. Some questions can be answered about a future product release and still not jeopardize its success.
I look forward to seeing your products.

The hardest part is "The Follow Through" in any long-term business model.

After the F75 Ltd DST,... we'll have an F90 Se VDST SPE MBE,... and we will be foaming at the mouth to get one or upgrade from our F85.

After the Makro Racer,... maybe they'll develop a Speedster.

However,... their will be people all over the world,... that don't frequent forums,... just go detecting and crack a display, bend a rod, twist a switch,... etc. etc.
They want their units fixed,... and probably will only frequent a forum to "Ask and Complain".
These guys need taking care off, fixing and maintaining units till "Economical Death"

On this forum you only view posts from the people who are demanding Formula 1 performance from their "Metal Detectors".
We each have multiple machines to test in a wide variety of situations,... and the people on this forum are quick to catch up on a bug of any sort.
And let's face it,... we are very easily disgruntled when something isn't up to scratch.

I personally have never bought a new car in my life,... I dread the dealer who finally sells me a new one :-)
So when one of my secondhand vehicles breaks down,... I'll get it to the dealer,... have them fix it,... and drive on happily.
It's a second hand one,... get over it!!

Buying new and unproven tech in a vehicle,... well it hasn't seen millions of miles yet,... and hasn't had a wide variety of drivers behind the wheel.
Yet I would probably get all disgruntled if it broke down. It's a new one,... it shouldn't!!

As a Stihl Powertool dealer,... now and again I have to actually get out in the garden and do some powertool work.
Else I would just go crazy with all the "problems" coming into the shop. Sometimes I feel like I'm just fixing warranties.
When doing my own work in the garden, either it's a machine I fixed up or it's a "hobby" grade tool which receives a thorough workout.
I'm always amazed what a fixer upper or a hobby grade can do!!

Makro/Nokta, Fisher, Garett, XP, Minelab, Tesoro,... these brands live and die by the quality of their R&D team and by the day to day determination of the technical staff.
The rest as they say is just Marketing.

R&D provides the Club, Marketing supplies the Ball, the Techies are "The Follow Through".
It's a difficult game to play successfully,... some do it :-)

Makro/Nokta better have some spot on follow through,... because they've just called a very difficult "Hole in ONE".

Why not,... we need guys who push the limits.

026 .325 Rapid Super,... just can't go wrong with that one. Light, powerfull, quality built, easy to work on,... probably going on 20 years and we can still get every single part like it was designed yesterday!

A pro class Stihl,... what's not to like.

Well said but there is a difference in our approach - Marketing, who is myself and my team in our case, will do the follow up ... let's sat you have an issue, we will not put you in touch with one of our technical service guys. As we are the ones who market the product, we will be the ones who take care of you, too.
