i have found some nice large, medium, and small 14k,10k rings with my f75 and i know how these id! i was wondering how a small, medium and large 24k ring would id????

also, has anyone ever tried any of the amplified headphones or amplification devices available? can you endorse any?

is there any device or any setting to get "audioboost" like the czs had on an f75?

Low disc. High sens, dig it all. I've found gold in the 70's and 20's. Hunt where gold may be.

hi aaron, womens size thin band small rings came in between 20 and 24 same reading as most tiny bits of foil. this holds true getting into the slightly larger mens rings.
mens medium slightly large gold rings have come in around 40-44
these have been 14k and 10k.

i believe you should dig all signals from 18 on up if you are looking for gold rings.

Over 97% of jewelry in this world ID's as 'foil'. On the F75......this is VDI of 19 - 24. One of the primary reasons is because most jewelry is women's stuff.

My wedding band ID's around '83' on F75. This is NOT the norm. It's 24Kt. In general, womens 24Kt rings ID in the high 30's to low 40's.........unless they have a lot of mass; in which, they would then ID much higher.

Wow, that seems highly unusual. I've never seen gold ID that high on any machine. But I have to consider that I've found maybe 2-3 24k items in my 30 some years of detecting.

24Kt is 'JUST' starting to become popular in the U.S. ,,,,,, mostly due to the influence of Far-East folks.

I found a 24Kt mens ring a few months ago at a park and only dug it because it came in as a penny on my LTD, and thought it might be a wheatback or Indian, what a nice surprise smiling smiley

Brian, thats what I was saying on the other post regarding digging pennys. I have a really heavy 14kt band that I wear and it id's in the penny/dime range, which is also a big time hi-tone.
Hearing Tom say that 97% of all jewelry registers as foil is a real bummer. The last gold ring I found read as p-tab, the one before that read nickel. I do dig alot of foil, and I dig ALL p-tabs and nickels. If I dug all foil, I think I would go nuts. I recall "dahut" commented on this exact topic lately, either on this forum or Findmall.

Nice goin on that 24kt ring, that must have been sweet!
