Out of Phase

Got a chance to get out to a real trashy area of a local park. Used the settings I noted in an earlier post. Basically, DISC 0, PF, 1 tone sometimes 4H, Sens 80. and iron, high nickel, tab and zinc Notched out.

Noticed that with the F-75 set up this way, good targets signals (coins) were in phase with the sweep speed but bad targets didn't appear to track along with the coil sweep. The bad tones seemed to lag behind somewhat. I'm wondering if there's any significance to this phase lag.

I'll check into this a little more next time out.

You may trying this in heavy trash, sen. 80, disc. 20, notch on 36, tones on 3 maybe 4, DE if you can us JE mode. This is good for hunting coin or silver in trash.

Hmmmm..... Not familiar with this. I never use the 'notch' feature.... so I've never encountered this phenomenon.
Also; I wonder what type and volume of iron is under your coil.
