Most people never think of California when you bring up the Civil War, but there were troops stationed out here during the Civil War, and we try to find the camp sites they used.

Maybe this will help find a few some new ones.

Thanks again for posting this, I'm up to page 71 of to West Coast log books, and I'm finding it to not only be fascinating reading (really ties into a lot of spots that we know about and adds a lot more insight into what was going on), but I think it'll be a great resource to pluck a few more new sites to research and potentially detect.

I only wish the drawings and maps they reference in the logs were shown.

The OSU site has the map plates.
