food for thought

I started 20 year ago with a cscope 2mx and found a decent site.only about 2 acres and I had over 50 roman bronzes a dozen brooches. 3 roman silver .A Celtic silver. And about 6 hammereds all with the 2mx and the sad truth is that I've been over and over that field with every top of the range detector you care to mention including CTX n deus and I've had a couple of Roman grots. So keep this in mind when you read the next best field test in the treasure searcher mag and your money starts burning an hole in your finds pouch...

A brilliant site and a poor metal detector is far better than a poor site and a brilliant metal detector.
