What do you guys think about the AKA STF claims

I read over on friendly metal detecting forum that AKA has been devoping a true dual frequency detector. They claim ground minerals don't effect depth or ID's. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this. They said it'll retail @$12000.00. WOW. That's a bunch of ching.

I'm kinda intrigued by the Signum and Berkut, I guess I spelled them right. But it looks like the machine is in Russian. I see on their web site no dealers over here too. Anybody have one of em by chance? Yep 12K is a lot.............

Keith is going to have a detector estate sale to get that one,lol.

I want one of the Signum 7272M's - it runs both all metal and discrimination modes at the same time (like a MXT Pro does) and has that hodograph thing and multitones... It also has a good 1/2 dozen coils that are all different frequencies like the ML 705 tech. offers

I've been following videos/etc on them for at least a yr now and from all I've seen = they ain't no joke...

There are at least 3 of us now within the US and Canada that own a Berkut, small handful of owners have a Sorex and Signums.
I'm sure you'll be reading more about these detectors from us during this year. Still have snow up here, winter will just not go away.

It appears they are very accurate and deeper than the machines over here. Are they exceptional in trash?

Gary's Detecting UK website has some videos of the Sorex and Signum in action, the MM mode is very fast in the iron.

I think a good Tesoro would do the same thing without all the noise, a lot of people overlook the good analog machines made in Prescott AZ USA.

these are TOP of the line machines (especially the 7272M) it's the BADASS of the bunch

i think is 1200 usd not 12000 ) time will tell how good will be the Intronik...

The AKA's don't need to make noise............the Berkut has 1,2,3,10, 91 tone option. Not any noisier than a Tesoro. If you don't like the iron tone in all metal mode, turn it down. If you want a high tone volume jacked up, do it.
Just way too many options regarding the tones. I don't think the Sorex or Signum have all the tonal audio options of the Berkut. That's one difference between the three.
By the way Hombre you know I love my Tesoros..................Owning a Berkut and a Tesoro or two is a winning combination. If the Berkut had Tesoro Cazador decals on it, you'd be in heaven...LOL

Just to be funny and poke a little, open up your Tesoro, you'll see all the parts on the circuit board, minus a few, all the external control pots are all made overseas...from the China, Asian Rim countries that produce
the electronic components for most major electronics parts manufacturers in the US and elsewhere.

Next step for Tesoro is to have everything made there and or assembled in the US like .............................one way of keeping Tesoros prices low............time will tell

Even on the Jack Gifford designed ones like the Bandido series, Pantera even? You may have forgotten that I own some of the best Tesoro has ever offered, the old ones....lol

Yeah, like them too. Yup inside there will be overseas parts, check it out, open one up.
I'm sure you know some Tesoro are hot, some norm and some cold. Probably has to do with the parts
they used and tolerances differences.......
