Air test data 2-Makro Racers/Nokta CoRE/Fisher F75LTD2

Here's the data I came up with. I didn't test with all coils i.e. CoRe stock coil. There was EMI in my area, basing this on how noisy the detectors got in high gain in 2 tone. You'll see where I have listed TID with distance. I had a mirror set up so I could watch the screens of all detectors as I checked. The TID distance is solid with max a couple #s spread. The tone distance listed is for a good repeatable tone, something unmistakable (used external speakers on all detectors). I think something can be learned from this data. I was shocked at the AM on the RACER for TID. Enjoy. And please comment.
Forgot to add. The TID at distance in AM-very surprised. Thought maybe units were lying so I checked with nickel and quarter. The units weren't lying they reflected correct VDI on quarter/nickel at some very long distances as well IMO.

And for gee whiz. I checked my Deus with 11" coil to see how far out it would give good TID on clad dime.
Settings 93 sens, disc 5.5, 12khz, TX power 2, 90 GB
Reactivity level 1, silencer -1........8"
Reactivity level 0 silencer -1........9"

BTW reactivity 2 silencer -1 almost the same as reactivity 1 setting, very close.

If I was the CEO of FT, I'd have my engineering dept putting in some OT!

you would probably have to take their salaries off them
and put them on a hourly rate just to get the motivation
going again lol

Well there you have 3 Racers within about a 1/4 inch of one another on same settings and targets. Thats more like what Fisher should have been for sure.

If you get the large coil, it looks like it adds 2 inches on the stock coil in overall detection distance in the air. I ventured to the yard with mine yesterday and it gets all my test garden targets...and expands the ID depth range a bit too. The 6 and 7 inch targets come in cleaner and clearer whereas with the stock coil, its almost critical to have the coil exactly dead center over the target before I start getting good numbers. The deepest thing out there right now is a 9 inch nickel and its an essy target for it.

The negative side...its very nose heavy with the Racer configuration and I think they should have had more of a 12x13 size coil instead of 13x15. But thats just my take. Is gonna be great for covering an open field then swapping coils when you get into the iron. Surprisingly...it can still pick a dime off of my back porch between the wood screws.

Emi must have big influence. I'm getting your AM depth inside my house in 3 tone!

I just want folks to remember the detectors were checked in same setting. EMI I feel was a factor. Power lines were close by and overhead. Also remember I didn't wear headphones. Something else I noticed. At the higher gain levels, most times it seemed a faster sweep at the greater air distances produced the best tones or a tone vs slow sweep. You can see also GAIN is important if you want TID or better TID at depth. Being able to toggle between the modes is a big plus with this unit. All detector makers should design their future units with this capability. With high gain in DI2 with stock coil the detectors become chatty in my air test scenario. I could take the units and put down over the ground and GB and they would be a little quieter.

Right up my alley!
