I went to that other forum to read about the latest about the Blisstool only to find that the Blisstool forum is gone. Anyone here know what happened?

Nothing is free on that forum. I imagine Blisstool stopped the flow of $$$.

They kind of blew it on how they went about promoting their products the racer is a good example of how it should be done..but also have read about some issues with the coil ears and it makes me wonder how come new product can come to market and have problems...You would think they would know about the coil and would have fixed it before it was sent with the detector...

If you don’t dig it, then how are you going to know what you’re missing!

Could be political. With small R and D teams, sometimes you don't want to go against the grain.

Very similar to First Texas and their leaky 11"DD's dont you think?

Makro seem to be replacing the broken coils without delay - i.e. shipping them out without recieving the broken ones back

From my experience FT sent out replacements when they got faulty ones back -

Certainly a huge difference in customer support and delay -

As we expect even from the BIG brand manufacturers, there are teething problems with detectors from time to time however the measure of a manufacturer is NOT only their products BUT how well they fix their problems and Makro seem to lead the way here as well -

Yet another feather in their cap as far as I am concerned
