Jump in soon. Silver starting to break out thru some resistance points. Hold for a few years and cash out .
I personally will keep accumulating til it hits $30 an oz. Then start selling around $100 an oz and up.

The all-time high price in dollars for silver was hit on 18th January 1980 at $49.45 (£21.65) per troy ounce fuelled by Nelson Bunker Hunt's cornering of the market.

I have heard for the past 5 years or so it would hit 100.00 an ounce with in a year. I doubt it will ever get that high. I would surprised if it got to 50.00 again in my life time. JMHO.

The only reason it would ever go that high is because it was, once again, being manipulated.

I must admit that I am intrigued by investing in silver. I'd have to buy a safe. A large investment. And on top of that, I don't know where I could buy $1000 worth of silver at current melting prices. If I could figure that stuff out......I really feel that investing in silver is a great idea. If I was to count on the silver that I find with my detector.....well.....it wouldn't even be a good start!......lol But I wish that lead was a precious metal. I've got a lot of old bullets!!!!!

ime, the best place to buy junk silver is at the REGIONAL coin shows. the local ones are always overpriced, at least around here. And don't get me started on coin shops and pawn stores.

still, investing any significant amount in silver is going to result in a lot of volume and weight. if you are seriously looking at it from an investment standpoint, I'd tend to go with gold coins instead. the Ag:Au ratio probably wont change enough to overcome the convenience factors imo.
