Elbert

Notice in the picture below the new look of the message board where you can now use Bold, Italic, Spelling correct, smiley faces, change the text color, size, etc just like in an email program/etc

whereas before -- these options were not available to us and we had to use computer programming language to insert smiley faces or make the text bigger, or a different color, bold, etc.

HTML = <img src="____"><b><u><i><font size="5"> and so on

people that know HTML coding recognize the above which is actually outdated and not used as I wrote it anymore but if I write it as they do now it will not show and actually change the text size, color, etc. as I type! lol

Today web programmers use what is called HTML5 --- similar to the coding I wrote above but a bit different and also CSS is used too but I don't wanna bore you'all to death with web programmer lingo and such!

I don't have these options. Not a problem, I'm used to using the basic HTML tags anyway. Are these just a new HTML5 thing? So if your browser isn't super up-to-date you won't see them?
Edit: OK, they only appear if you have scripting turned on. I normally have it turned off.

I also tried to add an 'Ignore User' feature but it still isn't working and I don't know why. The [] under the date of the post is where the ignore user option should pop up. I'll work on it later tonight and try to figure it out. smileys with beer

I have been having issues posting. Im getting a "don't have permission to post" deal with errors 403 and 404. I tried two different computers. Could there be an issue with my user name?

I posted my v3i air test about a dozen times and it wouldn't go through. Then I tried to post the error message and that wouldn't go through either. I managed to get a post on a few days ago "Having issues posting". Then at the other computer, i got the link to the air test posted but that took a few tries as well.

Ok, non-tech guy here. What makes inserting photos easier? I went to photobucket and copied a url and then clicked on the insert image icon and tried to insert the photo url but it didn't work.

Do you think it would be possible to give a tutorial. I can post pictures but what is easier?

Thanks,

El

Sounds like you are doing it the way I do... Go to photobucket, select picture I want, click the direct copy (on the right side of the photo) choice, then come to Dankowskis and start or reply to a message, click insert image url and right click paste the url from photobucket and it posts the image. Before I had to manually insert HTML codes....

That is how Ido it. I thought it had something to do with the icon on the new setup.

Thanks, El
