Quick question: wire colors on Koss-30 headphones

Replacing the dead plug on my Minelab Koss-30 headphones. I have black, white, and red wires.
I assume Red is right, but am not sure if the common is black or white. Anyone know?

(yeah, I know. I'm gonna just experiment in a few minutes if no one knows for sure, but it never hurts to ask)
