Gotta give a big Thanks to Dilek @ Makro!!

Some of you may know the cracked coil issue I had and how disappointed I was with Makro about it. Well, the Makro Rep Dilek contacted me and told me she was going to personally take care of the issue. I want to say thanks for making it right Dilek and thanks for the extra goodies(hat, shirt and hardware kit) also!!!:shock::shock:

Also, this coil is different than my other and the ears are thicker and its redesigned around the coil wire connection area. It looks like they are commited to fixing any problems they encounter which is a good thing.

It seems basstrackerman didn't do nearly as well as you did, maybe it is just hit and miss.

Hit and miss = NO

basstrackerman contacted Makro support = Cavit - changed out faulty coil twice and now no longer support customer

bigboar contacted Nokta support = Dilek - put both Nokta/Makro customers first

I can honestly say that the only bad experience I have encountered is dealing with Makro support & service - That is why I sold off my Racer for a Fors CoRe - I love Nokta's support and wish Makro could copy it -

Some positive points in all of this - How angry do you think these customers would have been if the support was handled the way the US do it? - Send entire unit back to get coil replaced, returned and so forth? -

Why, if you have broke coil ear, would you send in entire unit? Not true.

I know I'd rather be dealing with American people. It is a rare thing in customer service nowadays.

I contacted dilek and she sent my info to makro customer support.. And the dealer replaced coil first time. But after a second broken ear i went to makro/nokta just like i would here with fisher or whites.. What happened was while my 11x7 was being sent to me i was using my 5.5x10. The 11x7 arrived and i was removing the 5x10 and the ear fell off in my hand.. So i emailed makro again he sahs send a pic so i did.. He looked at pic and decided it was my fault and offered to sell me another..

Hello all! This is Dilek - just to clarify a few things:

Thank you for all the compliments but please note that I do not represent myself here but my company - Nokta & Makro is the same company and has the same perception of customer satisfaction.
Cavit has not done anything wrong other than relating a message that our technical team gave him.
Maybe I would have responded the same way if the customer emailed me directly.
We are a whole team here trying to support our customers and make things right but there are certain scenarios where we are dependent on info others give us.
And yes we can make mistakes - that includes me and we apologize for that!

Dont tell her that winking smiley makro took care of my coil.. At first they dropped the ball but they quickly rebounded. I give them alot of credit.. You have to.. They have made a true believer out of me as far as a customer service stand point.. Their detectors are great too.. I treated them pretty bad in my email when they said coil breakage was my fault, but they quickly came back with professionalism. And they solved a problem quickly. Yes there are alot of other companies that may want to look at how they do business ..

I just wanted to chime in to show my support for Makro.
I too had a bad coil problem about a month ago. Not the thin ear problem.
I contacted Makro through there website via email.
They end up sending me a new coil directly from Turkey.
It only took a few days. It came faster then most stuff I order here in the states.
It was great service and the Racer truly is a great all around metal detector.

Sorry.... That was meant to say a fair woman first hand.... Bloody iphone but no back tracking now Ha Ha.
