Yes, it's called business. You make stuff, folks buy it, you make more stuff.

Anyway, they are blowing the mid priced detector market all to hell.

F22, F44 - light, weatherproof, good performance, low price

Bounty Hunter machines which perform well - for peanuts

Now a top of the line machine, reintroduced at a budget price.

Happy days for detector buyers.

I suspect they are "slimming down" to lock up their markets against the inevitable wave of not only Central European but soon Chinese detectors which are already (or in the case of the Chinese, some day will be) worthy competitors.

Yes they are looking a huge sales but not at taking a new idea and making it work. I'll take my deus and racer these are the companies I like to do business with.

I'm curious which software it has, the original or one of the upgrade versions?

Like the price, and larger coil deal is great. Wonder if the larger coil is heavy?

Hello Greg,

I believe you hold down the menu button and hold the trigger forward, while doing this turn on the on knob.

This should show the software version, they had several upgrades. Appreciate u checking yours, thanks Greg.

Lawrenzo I could buy 3-4 of these machines at this price to one Deus. Some of us treasure hunters can't afford a Deus. And from the videos I've watched on the Deus and Racer I wouldn't even want to try one they didn't impress me. From the videos I watched I would be digging as much if not more trash with them as I would any other machine at a fraction of the cost.

When I heard they are re-releasing the T2, I called a guy who was selling one of the first
ones introduced some years ago and music to my ears, it was still available and I bought it
on the spot. Going to collect it today.
What I found when I used one back then was, it produced finds in places the X-Terra 705
and E Trac "missed and / or misinterpreted as junk", especially relating to [ low conductive ] metals
I.e. Small silver coins or small gold items.
Can't wait to swing a T2 again!!

Be careful what you read into detector videos. They are sometimes entertaining, sometimes informative, but they are NOT the same thing as having one in your hands for a reasonable amount of time to see what they can or cannot do.
Your assessment of the Deus is, in my opinion, partially correct. Lots of modern trash dug. But some very good finds unearthed along the way.
My experience with the Racer, however, is far different from what you remark. First, the Deus and Racer are miles apart in cost, so the fraction of the cost comment is certainly not true for the Racer. Secondly, the Racer is one of my BEST performers at separating the wheat from the chaff via audio intelligibility. If watching videos keeps you from discovering that, it's a pity.
