Sorry for the false alarm, guys. I was just as excited as everyone else. Maybe Garrett will read into this a bit deeper, and fully realize the hunger out there for something different, something cutting-edge. Minelab has the market cornered on pure depth coupled with accurate VID, IMO, but imagine marrying that with something like a shaping feature. As Keith said, what if a detector could actually show a hole in an item via an onscreen graphic...is it a washer? A ring? Or being able to show a red blob/smear, which would indicate iron. And maybe a green circular shape for a coin. It would be tremendous. Something like the V3i, which has some of these capabilities, but kicking it up about 10 notches, on steroids.

As other members have said, if we look at smart phone technology, fish finders, and things of that nature, those devices have far surpassed the technological advancements made with detectors, aside from rare exceptions, like the Deus' and one or two others.

At least we had a few minutes of fun dreaming about the latest & greatest...even if it wasn't genuine, lol.

Yeah Joe it was fun to dream a little. What I like the most was the large ID numbers. I can hardly see the small ATpro numbers. Any waterproof ID machine gets my attention....

Yea except most of the good stuff has been found by the great machines we've had for at least three decades.
Now you need to find the rare virgin ground to have good coin days.
Don't know anything about cw relics.
