To an 1860s site with a NEL 6.5x9.5" sniper coil on her,

found a couple goodies.

The CW era Token is one I've found before (a few times) but this one is strange being that it is holed "twice"??

Seems I found a tiny weight to a scale of some sort too.

Some pistol balls, Large Cent, a cool little suspender clasp thing, etc.

Anyhow - it was good fun to get reacquainted with an old friend (Etrac #2) and dig a few period items smiling smiley

Nice finds MRH.
The holed twice thing----strange..
Maybe someone will come up with a logical explanation.

I recently got an eTrac too and it reminded me of how much I liked that platform. My first signal with it was literally a silver dime at over 7 inches. I was amazed because that is unheard of in my soil. I was using the Excelerator 10x14 coil and got a sweet signal that just would not let me walk away...despite it not giving the 12-44 number...it was still in the 40 bracket enough that it high toned. I did like the CTX a lot but I think the eTrac is probably my favorite of the FBS machines.

Etrac is an awesome machine and to pair it up with the F75 style machine gives you a great one two punch

Daniel

that 10x14 is a great coil --- deep is an understatement!

And for its size it gets good separation too.

I have 5 coils for mine but not that one - I may sell one just so I can get that coil (Eq DD 10x14) --- I had one for my last E and it served me well.

I have

Eq DD 4.5x7" Excelerator
5" XS
6.5x9.5" Nel
stock 11" Pro coil
15" WOT

I will most likely sell the 5" XS coil so I can get the 10x14" EQ DD Excelerator

anyway

thanks everyone and stay tuned - I have a video uploading to Youtube as we speak from my hunt today at this same spot but using the F19 today --- I will post it here in a new thread as soon as she's done uploading to Youtube smiling smiley

Another Large Cent?
And I was grinning from ear to ear for a recently found 1899 Indian Head penny.

Congrats on the finds.

Well, the E-Trac/CTX is my favorite machine, fun wise. But my deepest machine, hands down, is the AKA Signum. It is clearly deeper than the CTX. CTX in my soil will consistently hit 9"-10" coins, Etrac maybe 9". The Signum will go 11" easy, I know it will go further.
That said, the E-Trac or CTX gives me a better idea of what I am digging and I just feel more connected to the machine with the 2D screen. I hardly detect anymore, so if weight is an issue I can handle the E-Trac for 2-3 hours easy.
Love those Minelabs and can't wait for a light E-Trac like machine.
