Addition to Yesterdays Digs w/Etrac = F19 + Video!

The F19/G2+ machines are amazing... The depth they achieve with the 13" Ultimate coil is sometimes unbelieveable. I dug a broken mason jar lid (not shown in vid because the signal was too iffy) but it was at least 20" or more deep - past my elbow in depth. And you can't beat VCO for gauging whether a target is deep, shallow or somewhere in between PLUS you can set the tone break where you want AND it has iron vol. control = mine is staying in the tool shed/rotation for a while to come = that's for sure smiling smiley

Very nice vid and finds.. The ultimate coil makes that a deep seeker for sure.

Nice video and very nice large cents. In my dirt they would be corroded and eaten away

Good video, considering you are the director, production manager, stage manager, etc!!!!

MRH,
You are in detecting heaven. I'm envious...

But keep pulling the good stuff and posting----Cause I'll be a looking.

Thanks guys

TNSS - it's been a great season so far = can't complain but it's a short one (the season) from the time crops come out till snow starts flying here so I have to move quick and hit it hard in the fall... Sometimes the snow starts flying before many of the crops start coming out but I think the farmers have been getting smarter as they seem to start harvesting a little sooner now (past yr or 2) since we've had a few bad winters over the last 3 or 4 to where it basically started snowing around halloween and non stop till spring it seemed!!

I've plucked 5 Large cents, a nice Merchant token and several Injuns (a couple fatty's) and a few nice relics in the last 2.5 weeks so can't complain on that front but I tell ya = "OLD" silver around here is hard to come by.

Many many of these sites where cherry picked by the old timers way back in the 70s and especially the 80s when whites came out with the 5900 DI sl pro's

the older guys of that time (who were in their 50s/60s ++) in the mid 80s knew where a lot of these sites were recalling from their childhood memories AND used maps to narrow down/find many of the others their parents/grand parents told them about from THEIR childhood and then cherry picked most all of the silver and some of the other stuff that was more easily detected -- leaving us to sift the iron and find what little they couldn't and/or weren't interested in finding to begin with - (had their disc too high to detect fatty's, nickels, etc.)...

That's okay though = I'll take what's left grinning smiley

Nice video, Wayne. Well done. Enjoyed the finds. Good looking dirt, too.

Pleasant Garden, NC
AT Max, Nokta Impact, MX Sport, Nokta FORS Relic, GPX 4800, Infinium, Racer, Deus, F75SE, Nautilus DMC II (order of acquisition, last to first)

Nice setup when I had the F19 I had to keep the power cranked all the way up or I would lose targets. You may want to get a pin pointer I really love mind cuts time down and finds the targets or targets faster leaving more time to dig.

Enjoyed your video Wayne and those are some real nice finds.

I see that you have the Racer also. I don't remember if you had a Deus but if you did would you mind giving your opinion on all three or just the two you have and which one you like the best.

I've seen other comparisons between the f19/G2+ and Racer but would like another perspective.

Thank you.

Thanks TD

and yes - I've had 2 Deus's in the past (may get another at some point too).

Here's my honest opinion

if you can afford it = get all 3. Each one is a great machine and each one has some features or finds things that the other doesn't/can't.

I like the Deus because it's top of the line/in a class all it's own, is versatile and is an all around iron sifter for a good majority of targets

I like the Racer because it see things (with the 5" tiny coil) that other machines just pass right over/can't see (great for a cleanup machine on pounded out sites)

and I like the F19/G2+ because of the features it has AND the fact that it's a button/brass killer...

Each machine also has it's down side/s though

but

to answer your question in absolute = which "1" do I like the best?

I guess if it came right down to it and I could only have "1" out of the 3

I'd have to say the F19/G2+

it's just my style of machine overall - it has a decent coil selection (they don't cost $500 a pop like the Deus), it's light, has many of the features I like, is deep with the right coil/s installed and doesn't cost a fortune to start with.

That's just me/my preference though - many others here feel differently -- some think the Deus is the greatest thing since sliced bread and others the Racer and they like one of those better

it's all ones own preference I guess smiling smiley

Personally --- I have to have the "1 - 2 punch" setup though

like a CTX/Deus or Etrac/Deus

or

Etrac/F19 or Etrac/Racer

or

CTX/Racer or CTX/F19

you get the point though

you can't beat a FBS/High Freq. combo with multiple coils between the 2 for cleaning out a site to the point that even the best of the best would have a hard time pulling anything out behind you.

At the moment I just happen to have the Etrac/racer/f19/vaquero combo thing going on --- I did have the CTX/Deus combo for a long while but I get bored easy and need "change/challenge"!

Hope some of this helps/answers your question/s.

Thanks and HH

Nice hunt. I like the Ultimate coil for beach hunting on the Sovereign. A good deep coil.

That last part about the older guys is so depressing, they had it so good.
50 silver coin days where not unusual.
Now months can go by before I find a spot that gives up a few silvers.
