Was it all found in the river bed and the slopes of the banks,
or was some of it on the flat areas above the banks?

It was all found in the water or banks. Nothing on the land.

I searched and found your YouTube video of this hunt after I posted. Very impressive.

It certainly isn't easy to detect in the river water, doing all that walking in (and digging in) the muck
at the bottom. I'm thinking that's why those bullets were still there. Nobody with a water
detector and enough gumption to do the work had detected it before.
