At pro and Nel Storm coil for depth

Have been hearing a lot about how deep the At pro with the Storm coil can go on coins. They are saying it goes deeper than the CTX 3030 with 17 inch coil. Has anyone tried this combination and if so what kind of depth are you getting on coins?

I recently started hunting with a guy who uses that set up.
I'm not sure how deep it can go but he keeps up with me using the CTX/17" coil.
If the weather improves we are going to hunt an old park this weekend and I will try to do some comparisons.
I know he pulled an 8" coin in moderately high ground last time I was with him.
Anything past 6" around here is tough for most detectors.
