Tiny gold ring on New Year’s day
January 03, 2016 07:36AM
After several hunts over during the last 2 months, tried out my favorite beach during some not-so-low tides. The 2nd or 3rd dug target was this tiny 14k gold ring with a blue stone.

Below are photos of some of the finds over the last couple of months.

Here's a photo of the tiny 14k gold ring, nude silver ring, cubic zirconia silver earring stud, and part of a silver bracelet/necklace.

Air-tested with:
11 coil
Auto-sensitivity = 16
Noise Cancel #11
ID = inner diameter (in millimeters)
Rings air-tested with ring parallel to coil, unless otherwise noted

carat ID grams depth FE-CO max depth description
14k 11.7 1.18 2" 12-02 4" tiny gold ring

Here are some before and after cleaning photos of the gold ring.

Here are some of the coin finds; a 1936 and a corroded Buffalo Nickel, 1899 Indian Head penny, 1952 and 1962 dimes, 1943 quarter, 1940 and 1943 mercury dimes, and a 1900 Barber dime.

Here are photos of a couple of buttons, and a hollow bullet with some kind of a cork filling.

Here’s a photo of some of the other finds. The 1900 Barber dime, the bullet, and the bronze square nail were found a few meters apart in a park.

Jewelry finds are so interesting to look at. All the variety.

That roadrunner motorcycle pin is pretty cool, too.
